Learn to Dance

Did you know that dancing makes you happy and can help you live a more active life, reduce stress, develop new friendships, and much more. It’s fun too! What are you waiting for?

If you have New Year’s

Resolutions like these,

why not learn to dance?

Beginner Salsa Bootcamp

The Beginner Salsa Bootcamp is a three-hour introductory workshop for people new to salsa dancing. It’s a beginner-friendly but intensive workshop designed to teach you the basics of salsa in a fun and easy-to-understand way and get you dancing in just three hours!

Held once a month, it provides a more intensive and practical learning experience than a drop-in beginner lesson for people curious to try salsa for the first time. Fun, casual, social, and no dance experience necessary. And no partner necessary either, it doesn’t matter if you come on your own or as a couple.

The next Beginner Salsa Bootcamp is: Saturday January 20

Welcome New Students

Whether you are new to dancing or you’ve been dancing for years, at D2 Dance Studio we provide you with a fun and rewarding experience through our dance classes and social dance events. We offer group classes and workshops in partner dance styles such as Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk, Tango, Hustle and more, from beginner to advanced levels.

We’re located in one of Vancouver’s most popular neighbourhoods: Mount Pleasant. You’ll find us at 55 West 8th Ave (Map), nestled between Main St and Cambie and near Olympic Village. Conveniently close to many of Vancouver’s best coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, and craft breweries, we love being part of the bustling community of new businesses in this charming neighbourhood.

Do I need a partner to attend class? Not at all. You’ll dance with lots of different people in classes. Some students come to classes with a partner, whether it be a friend or significant other. But the majority of people who attend dance classes come on their own. Some have significant others at home who don’t share their interest in learning to dance, but many single people of all ages attend dance classes as it’s a terrific way to socialize and meet new people.

What if I have two left feet and no rhythm, can I still learn how to dance? Yes absolutely you can, and we can help you! Our instructors include many of Vancouver’s best dance teachers, who are dedicated to creating a teaching environment that is not only fun and encouraging, but also challenging and fulfilling.

Mount Pleasant is Home

We love being part of the new energized vibe in our Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. We’re conveniently located between Main and Cambie, close to West Broadway, and near many of Vancouver’s best craft breweries, coffee shops, cafes and restaurants.
