Our History

Jennifer and Stephen Dancey are the organizers of the annual free summer dance festival Sunday Afternoon Salsa at Robson Square (since 2006).

In 2011 they opened the Dancey Ballroom, a dance studio and event venue in a heritage building in downtown Vancouver.

After a few years they expanded, and in 2014 they opened a second studio, D2 Dance Studio in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.

The Dancey Ballrom closed in 2017 and D2 closed in 2022.
